Welcome to Living an Artsy Life. My name is Laura and I am one of those crazy art people we all know and love (I hope!) People are always asking me how I do all the stuff I do, so I thought I’d start a blog and share my processes. I do love to make things. I sculpt, paint, sew, quilt, write, decorate, entertain and I love photography. I’m sure I’m forgetting some stuff I do. Oh, yeah! I also am learning how to make music by playing guitar and singing.

Currently, I spend most of my time in a suburb of Sacramento, California and am in the process of moving my studio up to the Pacific Northwest where I’ve purchased a home in the adorable seaside town of Port Orford, Oregon. This will be super fun because I’ll get a designated studio space in Oregon and have a cozy little place down in California so I don’t lose touch with our family here. I am very blessed to have a wonderful Sweetie who supports me in my artistic adventures! We have mostly grown kids and a puppy dogs who we love and indulge way too much.

*Warning… a bit of seriousness coming up* While art is super fun and the sprinkles on the ice cream of my life, I also feel that for me it is a calling. I feel that creating beauty is my way of contributing love and light to the world. Every one of us has a job to do to make this world a better place and my job is to make art.
